The capricious strokes and whimsical curiosity allows the growth of my admiration for her.
Unfortunately, she doesn't own a blog or site (got the photos from a good friend of mine).
Nonetheless, I believe she's going to become a raising artist in the near future.

Seeing how I'm feeling uninspired lately (You must have noticed by the lack of daily updates..) my best friend
Do suggested I write about this particular artist,
Satoshi Oono. I would have stoned myself to death for forgetting about him, used to be my favorite artist until the day I found about
Nara Yoshitomo and
Maruo Suehiro.
Part of the famous Japanese band ARASHI,
Satoshi Oono not only showcases his efforts in singing and dancing but he is an accomplished fresh new visual artist who embarked into the art world back in 2008 with the publication of his first artbook FREESTYLE and opening his first solo exhibition too.
His style is both rigid and playful, always teasing details in a comical manner. It's never too serious or too funny. Just perfect.
He doesn't stop there but goes on adding figurines into the mix. His little soldiers are a bunch of bad boys ready to fight. They may have the same features and poses but the unique additions of accessories sure give each and every one (100 duplicates~) their special characteristic(s). One of the few celebrity (Maybe only..) who I believe is
truly a "star". Support him by getting
the book, I already have a copy.

It’s how you grasp things but in the end it’s about “you like or don’t like it” or “if you are interested or not”, right? But when you've got artists like
Flora Unger walking around this great Earth, you know you're admiring the right people.
In it's simple and elegant presentation, her works please the senses.
Not only is she a sophisticated artist, she does ceramic pottery and draws magnificent imagery in her poetry. Her works have spirits of their own.

This is a fine example, Found him yesterday and vowed to voice his name on this little blog.
He goes by the name of
Matt Caplin. He's an inspiring photographer who permits raw imaginations to emerge. His vision is thicker than poetry.
After reading and browsing around here, do care to visit his

Personal Note: I've noticed over the couple of days that the blog's become, a little more dedicated to Asian artists or have a distingtive Asian touch in their work(s), I promise you this; I did that unconsiously. Fate ties me up to Asia somehow..
Coming out of this realization, I will add more into the mix. I'm going to show my interest in other cultures and my diverse taste in art from all over.

The name of one of Asahi Noboru's works. She is an example of why Japanese animation influenced me and continues to.
Unlike most modern anime(s) today (My opinion on the state of anime today will be postponed on a later day, I have so much to say about that!), she brings out something fresh, anew and just makes me fall in love with Japan again.

Slow on the updates. So very busy in the outside world, no worries, it's all good!
I was thinking, "if I were to show my appreciation to stranger artist why not for my friends too?". It's only fair to show my admiration to those dear to me. The following are done by my favorite person in the world who happens to be my best friend too.
Unfortunetly she doesn't have an active blog/account online, but she's on twitter.

Her style is a slash mixture of 1950's Japanese manga and 70's French animation lining. Looking at her collections I can't help but feel a sense of reminisce to the old animations I used to watch as a little girl. I love the cool innate nature of these portraits.
At a proper given time I will show some snippets of her colorful paintings aswell.

Have always been a fan of Japanese photographers, despite repetitive themes in current times, there are still those who try avoiding the obvious.
Keeping it honest, calm and timelessly beautiful. I am not a stranger to
Ume Kayo works as I saw this photographer on a Brutus magazine alongside the artist,
Ohno Satoshi.
Most famous for her series of photography displaying little school boys in absurd positions. She has a real innovative eye for what is odd and quirky. Surrealism, mystery and a touch of dark comedy embodies her work. That's how deep it gets.

Nobody's Fool at Asia Society is going to be a blast for sure.
First Asian to ever hold a grand exhibition in New York, I can't help but feel proud!

This was done for the DVD release of his documentary film Exit through the Gift Shop, this sort of promotion campiegn is intellegent. Never disappointing.
I haven't seen the movie yet so I might get hold of the DVD when it's up for the grabs. Yay!

And I was so worried they'd actually kick him out of the event!
Despite the controversy of performing an upcoming exhibition at the Chateau de Versailles,
Takashi Murakami will be able to put out his works and will be up for the looks on the 14th Sept until the 12th of Dec.
Including 22 peices, Murakami will show off some new works too!
And what's this I hear?
A concert will be held produced by Pharrell Williams at the opening events, plus, a host party with President Sarkosy as guest. That's
