Have always been a fan of Japanese photographers, despite repetitive themes in current times, there are still those who try avoiding the obvious.
Keeping it honest, calm and timelessly beautiful. I am not a stranger to Ume Kayo works as I saw this photographer on a Brutus magazine alongside the artist, Ohno Satoshi.
Most famous for her series of photography displaying little school boys in absurd positions. She has a real innovative eye for what is odd and quirky. Surrealism, mystery and a touch of dark comedy embodies her work. That's how deep it gets.
