He's candy to my eyes.
Nara Yoshitomo never fails to capture the emptiness inside of me (Melacholic comment unintended), with his new collection of art works and sculpture installations his NY opening of Nobody's Fool at Asia Society is going to be a blast for sure.
First Asian to ever hold a grand exhibition in New York, I can't help but feel proud!

With time, he came to realize that communication could be established
through the use of simple essentials, both in spoken words and visual language.
Nara began to rid his work of all excess elements in the background and focus

A cut preview of some of my favorite selections. There are more appealing peices on the site aswell, do take a look!
I think his new looks are smashing. The uncunning layer of colors and untamed lines are expressive and very Nara-like. But it goes to say that Nara is a person unafraid of exprimentation and trials. He goes beyond. I'm impressed.
